Alyeska Resort is hosting a Mountain Bike Criterium Race on the lower mountain biking trails. This XC race will start at the Tram, then head out and back on Homestretch, up the Bear Cub Climb to the top of Chair 7, down Christmas in July, past the Sitzmark Deck, over to the Chair 3 work road, up past the top of 7 and descending onto the Blueberry Pancake Trail. The loop is approx. 2.25 miles. The Criterium will be 1, 2, or 3 laps depending on class.

Race divisions: Expert, Sport, Masters, Novice & Juniors

This race course will be fast paced and technical. There will be lots of climbing, descending, swooping and grinding! Prizes will include summer tram rides and winter lift tickets!

9:00am – 10:00am at Tram base

Bibs will be handed out at registration. Helmets required.

Mandatory participant briefing will take place at 10:00am at the Tram base.

A bike ride can be as easy as the paved bike path from The Hotel Alyeska to Indian (Bird to Gird) or as demanding as our “North Shore” inspired Blueberry Pancake Trail. Blueberry Pancake is a downhill ONLY mountain bike trail for advanced riders through the rain forest on wooden terrain features and gravel trail tread.

The Hotel Alyeska has a bike rental program so you can select from single speed, multi-speed and mountain trail bikes. Helmets and trekking poles are also available for rent. Call the Tram Ticket Office for more information at 907-754-2275. Also, the Alyeska Mountain Shop is stocked with all of the apparel and accessories you might need out on the trail.
