FREE MUSIC ALL SUMMER! Now that the audience is captivated let’s chat about summer music at the Sitz. With a weekly operating schedule of Friday – Sunday with doors opening at 11 a.m. for lunch, the Sitzmark will be offering up FREE live music every weekend. Friday will feature live and local from the hours of 5 – 8 p.m. as part of mountain bike après. Saturday will also feature live music for mountain bike après with the main event from 9 p.m. – 1 a.m. The Sitz has contracted bands from as far away as North Carolina and Colorado but of course the local favorites from Alaska will be taking the stage to rock the midnight sun crowd! All summer music after 9 p.m. is 21 & over. Other bands taking the Sitzmark stage this summer include Boulder, Colorado based Wasteland Hop. Fort Collins, Colorado based The Railsplitters as well as many local favorites such as Matt Hopper & the Roman Candles, Denali Cooks and Eternal Cowboys just to name a few.

June 27, 2014 from 5 – 8 pm will feature local guitar legend Larry Zarella of Photonz! Larry will be here as part of our apres bike scene for opening day of the Alyeska Bike Park.

First up to kick off summer at the Sitz is North Carolina based, bluegrass band Town Mountain on June 28, 2014. The sound of the award-winning group Town Mountain can best be described as traditional bluegrass, albeit with a rough-hewn side to it that is not too slick or glossy. They are a band of the here-and-now, yet they have a groove that is based on the bluesy and swinging sounds explored by the first generation of bluegrass pioneers of the last century. With the success of their latest album, Leave the Bottle, the word is out on their amazing talent! For a complete summer music schedule, please visit

Add music to your winter season pass!

New this season is the Sitzmark music add-on. This add-on feature to your season pass will give you admission to every single concert at the Sitzmark. If you’re a skier or rider who loves to see the national acts at the Sitz, then this add-on is a steal at only $100. Last season if you attended every show featuring a national act at the Sitzmark, New Year’s Eve, Slush Cup and our end of season concert with the Photonz, you would have spent over $360 in concert tickets alone. Wouldn’t you like more money for beer? If yes, then the Sitzmark music add-on is for you. Visit or the tram ticket office for more details.
