The Alyeska Snow Classic has begun!

snow_classicIt has been a year of hard work for Four Valleys Community School to get the Alyeska Snow Classic up and running but it was worth it! The Snow Classic is a competition to guess how much snow will have accumulated on the ‘Alyeska Snow Classic Stick’ at elevation 1096′ on Mt. Alyeska. The final reading of ‘The Stick’ will take place on the last day of the 12/13 ski season on April 28.

Along with helping to raise funds for the local community the winning guess(es) will split the cash with Four Valley Community Schools.

The cost of a ticket is $2.50. Ticket sales will continue until March 31 and people can buy tickets at Brown Bear Saloon in Indian, Casa del Sol, Chair Five, Coast Pizza, Double Musky, Great Alaskan Tourist Trap, Jack Sprat, Java Haus, Powder Hounds Ski Shop, Silvertip Grill, Tesoro in Girdwood, The Bake Shop, The Grind, The Tramway Café and the Sitzmark.
