Transition from spring to summer

With the temperature rising and the sun light lasting until midnight, the seasons of change from spring to summer are upon us. With rain comes melting snow and with melting snow comes accessible acreage for our mountain biking operations. The Alyeska crew is working hard to build trails and features for guests to recreate on in our bike park, and as the snow disappears before our eyes, the trails are emerging!

The bike park will be a great way for you to get your fix of the mountain this summer and will dull your jones fest symptoms until the snow begins to fly. You’ll have access to the terrain from chairs 4 and 6 top to bottom as well as access from the tram. When you can’t lay down turns in the snow you should lay some down in the dirt this summer.

Warm temperatures through Memorial Day weekend allowed for skiers to get out and enjoy the last of the snow while melting out our mountain bike terrain. Alyeska will also be installing new bike racks on some of the chairs to carry 3 bikes up at a time. So dust off your bike, give it a check over and get ready for a great 2011 season riding in our park!
